Škrip, The native museum of Brac
Skrip is the oldest settlement at the island. Radojkovic tower was built
during the wars in the 16th century.The tower has windows and loopholes
in the sides of protective walls. This building's importance feature is
in its 3 ethnical layers as well: Illirian, Roman and Croatian.
The Mausoleum of the Petrinovic family
Ivan Rendic, from Supetar started it and Ivan Rosandic ended this mausoleum
of one of the most famous families in Supetar.
St.Peters Church
The main church in Supetar, built in 1604. A beautiful interior will capture
your attention.
The Dominican monastery in Bol
The monastery was built in a place were a Villa used to stand before even
Bol was a settlement. Just besides the monastery is a little church "The
lady of Mercy" built in the 15th century. A valuable treasure of
the monastery and the church is the renaissance picture of the Holy Mother
with the child - a masterpiece that is believed to be done by the famous
Jacoppo Tintoretto,
The Blaca desert
Definitely the most attractive spot on the island. But it is not easy
to get there, because it is situated on a mountain 3,5 km form the sea,
and most of the journey has to be on foot. Without doubt it worth the
trouble!
Vidova Gora
Vidova Gora the highest of the Dalmatian peaks. You can enjoy a breathtaking
view of the town of Bol, the famous beach Zlatni rat, and the surroundings
Dalmatians islands of Hvar, Vis, Korcula. When the weather is fine, even
the Italian coast can be seen.
The Dragon Cave
200m above sea level, in 15th century it was settled by the Glagolitic
monks, who were escaping from the Turks. They lived inside of the cave
for years and they carved scenes from the Bible as well as symbols of
the pagan belief, such as the eternal struggle between good and evil.
A visit to the Dragon Cave is an extremely rare and special experience.
